my partner and i went to a birding festival!!! sadly i didn't get any good bird pics but i did get this cute pic of my partner on the shore :3 we went to visit our awesome & talented friend who was selling her paintings at the marketplace there. i love being in nature and appreciating and learning about it, and birding is such a low-barrier hobby, it's so much fun!! i still have a lot to learn when it comes to identifying birds, but learning is half the fun :D

i've made a habit of stress-baking lately. this is my latest installment! turned out really good if i do say so myself. the best part was the homemade strawberry whipped cream topping!
