my partner and i went to the indiana dunes birding festival!!! sadly i didn't get any good bird pics but i did get this cute pic of my partner on the shore :3 we went to visit our awesome & talented friend who was selling her paintings at the marketplace there. i love being in nature and appreciating and learning about it, and birding is such a low-barrier hobby, it's so much fun!! i still have a lot to learn when it comes to identifying birds, but learning is half the fun :D

me and my booth setup :D i sold my work at a few markets when i was in art school, but the last one was a couple of years ago. very happy to get back in the saddle again. hopefully i'll be doing more in-person markets in the future, along with publishing my online shop!!

nature is beautiful and spring is my favorite season i think. fall is a close second though!! after work on the 4th my partner took me out for a lovely dinner at one of our favorite family-owned italian restaurants. it was a wonderful time :D

i've made a habit of stress-baking lately. this is my latest installment! turned out really good if i do say so myself. the best part was the homemade strawberry whipped cream topping!
